This course focuses on:

 

  • Obtaining information required by therapists to obtain and document on a health history form and soap note which is consistent with provinces where massage therapy is regulated
  • Fine tuneing communication and Interview skills using standards of practice in regulated provinces to ensure efficacy and transferability of skills once massage therapy is regulated in Alberta
  • Understanding standards of practice, guidelines, policies and position statements as they relate to massage therapists in regulated provinces
  • Understanding standards of practice, guidelines, policies and position statements as they relate to massage therapists in Alberta
  • Learning how to communicate a treatment plan based on standards of practice from a regulated province
  • Understanding key terms of regulation
  • Reviewing consent, confidentiality and counter transference
